Biorelate: Messaging, Media, Design and Film for an AI Drug Discovery Company

Solution
Most of what pharma knows about disease biology sits in tens of millions of papers, abstracts and patents that no team could ever read. Biorelate's Galactic AI reads that literature and turns it into a structured map of cause and effect, linking genes, proteins, drugs, diseases and adverse events, with traceable evidence behind every connection. As of October 2026 it holds 358 million cause-and-effect mentions and 3.5 billion entity annotations. Customers including AstraZeneca use it to prioritise targets, assess safety and discover biomarkers, and increasingly to ground large language models in evidence they can cite.
The science is strong, but it is hard to explain in a sentence, and Biorelate sells to sceptical heads of data science, computational biologists and R&D leaders who have watched plenty of AI claims fall over. Biorelate needed messaging that held up in front of scientists, a steady flow of credible content, and design and video that looked like a company ready for enterprise pharma. It needed all of that while launching Galactic Data 3.0, moving to Galactic AI and rebuilding its marketing team.
Messaging and PR strategy
We started with messaging. Working with CEO Dan Jamieson, CSO Ben Sidders and the commercial team, we rebuilt Biorelate's positioning around the hidden cause-and-effect relationships that drive successful drug discovery, then built a PR strategy on top of it. That messaging now runs through the website, the sales deck and every piece of conference collateral we have produced since.
Earned media and thought leadership
Ben is one of the sharpest voices on AI in early drug discovery, so we put him in front of the titles R&D leaders read. We secured and co-wrote bylined articles in GEN (Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News) on finding causal connections in biomedical data, in Drug Discovery World on turning drug repurposing into a repeatable strategic capability, and in BioPharma BoardRoom on measuring the real return on AI in pharma. We also placed Ben in Drug Target Review's AI special report alongside experts including Insilico Medicine's Alex Zhavoronkov. Every piece was editorial rather than promotional, which is what makes it count with this audience.
Website and Content Hub
We look after biorelate.com in Webflow. For the Galactic Data 3.0 launch we built a new product page and reworked the homepage and Enterprise pages around the new messaging. We then designed and built the Content Hub, a filterable library of case studies, whitepaper explainers, blogs and events, with a CMS the Biorelate team can run themselves and an animated gradient background for each content category. We write for it too, turning Ben's whitepapers into pieces such as "Galactic AI captures the biology GPT-5 misses", each with LinkedIn posts to carry it.
Conference collateral and design
BioTechX is Biorelate's biggest commercial moment of the year, and we have delivered it twice. For 2025 we produced booth graphics, a looping booth video, a talk flyer and a LinkedIn campaign. For BioTechX Europe 2026 in Basel, where Ben spoke on grounding AI agents in causal relationships, we resized the booth, designed a suite of five A4 flyers covering Galactic AI, target prioritisation, target safety, biomarker discovery and grounding AI, then turned each flyer into its own Content Hub page for sales follow-up. Alongside the events we built the Galactic Data 3.0 sales deck, a slide template, HTML email templates and a steady stream of social assets.
A customer film with Healx
The latest piece is a documentary-style case study film with Healx, the Cambridge rare disease company and a Galactic AI customer. We developed the concept, interview themes and shot list with Biorelate, then filmed at Healx's office in October 2026. The film follows Ben arriving and meeting the team, then a working conversation about rare disease, AI and how Healx uses Galactic AI, cut with captures of the platform. The shoot delivers a short hero film for web, social and events and a long-form interview edit, giving Biorelate proof from a customer, in the customer's own words.

Results
- Messaging that holds up with scientists. One positioning platform, built with Biorelate's leadership, now running through the website, sales materials and events.
- An expert voice in the right titles. Bylines for Ben Sidders in GEN (around 80,000 readers), Drug Discovery World and BioPharma BoardRoom, plus a place in Drug Target Review's AI special report.
- An owned content platform. The Content Hub is live on biorelate.com, with a self-serve CMS and a growing library of case studies, whitepaper explainers and blogs.
- Two BioTechX cycles delivered. Booth graphics, booth video, flyers and social campaigns for 2025 and 2026, including a five-flyer suite that now doubles as sales follow-up content.
- Customer proof on film. A case study film with Healx that shows Galactic AI at work inside a drug discovery company.
Reflection
Biorelate is a serious science company whose product is easy to undersell and just as easy to overclaim. The hard part was getting a knowledge graph of cause and effect across to sceptical scientists without dumbing it down, while keeping pace with product releases, conferences and a changing marketing team. We did it by starting with messaging, putting Ben's expertise in front of the right editors, and carrying one consistent story through web, print, events and film. Biorelate now has a platform to publish to, a body of earned coverage and a customer story told on camera, and SomX has moved from delivering briefs to helping set the direction.
